Grid & Frame is a one-person studio. That's not a hedge, it's the pitch: the person who scopes the project is the same person who writes the code and answers the email six months later.
What that means in practice
No brief gets handed off to a junior who never spoke with you. No account manager relaying your notes to a developer three time zones away. One person owns the outcome, which means one person to blame if it's wrong and one person to thank if it's right.
Static first, plugins never
Sites are built as static HTML, CSS and JavaScript rather than on top of a CMS plugin stack. That means no monthly licence per plugin, nothing to patch after a security disclosure, and a page that loads in a few hundred milliseconds instead of a few seconds. Where a project genuinely needs a backend, a form, a database, a login, it gets one, built specifically for that job rather than bolted on from a generic plugin.
Real numbers or no numbers
The work page shows what has actually shipped, labelled honestly as client work or as an in-house product. Traffic and conversion figures get published when they exist and are worth reading, not invented to fill a gap. A young project that hasn't proven itself yet says so.
Fixed price, agreed scope
Every quote is a number for a defined package, not an hourly rate with no ceiling. If something outside the original scope comes up mid-project, that's a conversation and a written change, not a surprise on the final invoice.
